چکیده

Let G = (V , E) be a graph. A subset D ⊆ V is a dominating set if every vertex not in D is adjacent to a vertex in D. A dominating set D is called a total dominating set if every vertex in D is adjacent to a vertex in D. The domination (resp. total domination) number of G is the smallest cardinality of a dominating (resp. total dominating) set of G. The bondage (resp. total bondage) number of a nonempty graph G is the smallest number of edges whose removal from G results in a graph with larger domination (resp. total domination) number ofG. The reinforcement (resp. total reinforcement) number of G is the smallest number of edges whose addition to G results in a graph with smaller domination (resp. total domination) number. This paper shows that the decision problems for the bondage, total bondage, reinforcement and total reinforcement numbers are all NP-hard. © 2011 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

On the complexity of the outer-connected bondage and the outer-connected reinforcement problems

Let G = (V,E) be a graph. A subset S ⊆ V is a dominating set of G if every vertex not in S is adjacent to a vertex in S. A set D̃ ⊆ V of a graph G = (V,E) is called an outer-connected dominating set for G if (1) D̃ is a dominating set for G, and (2) G[V \ D̃], the induced subgraph of G by V \ D̃, is connected. The minimum size among all outer-connected dominating sets of G is called the outerconnec...

On the complexity of some bondage problems in graphs

The paired bondage number (total restrained bondage number, independent bondage number, k-rainbow bondage number) of a graph G, is the minimum number of edges whose removal from G results in a graph with larger paired domination number (respectively, total restrained domination number, independent domination number, k-rainbow domination number). In this paper we show that the decision problems ...

There remains a conviction that the torrent of publications and the financial outlay on leadership development will create managers with the skills and characters of perfect leaders, capable of guiding healthcare organisations through the challenges and crises of the 21st century. The focus of much attention continues to be the search for the (illusory) core set of heroic qualities, abilities o...
